About Me
My Journey in Design.
2003 - 2014
Discovering storytelling.
I loved to draw, competing in school and online art competitions.
I loved to read and write, self-publishing my own 32 thousand word novel.
And I loved to play video games, curating a youtube channel, designing its branding and uploading videos so others can join me inside their stories.
I wanted to grow up telling stories as an artist, author, and a youtuber.
2015 - 2020
Discovering design.
I chose Design and Technology as my Year 9, 10, 11 and HSC elective. Here, I discovered and learned the design process — identifying opportunities, researching, generating ideas and iterating designs. I fell in love with the honesty, creativity and problem-solving that the process demanded.
I now wanted to be in the design field.
2021 - 2023
Discovering storytelling
through UX design.
I commenced my Bachelors of Design Computing course at The University of Sydney, learning the theoretical and technical aspects of UX, UI and product design. The process was unapologetically user-focused, and in crafting innovative experiences for the user, my inner-child found joy in its storytelling qualities. It felt creative, challenging and rewarding.
In 2023, I transferred to its successor course — Interaction Design.
Present
Exploring my design practise.
Graduating in 2024, I am now craving for professional experience in the industry, keen to further develop my design practise and expertise. By extension of this, I hope to learn more of myself, my core values and how I can adapt in the field so that I may exercise them wholeheartedly.
I can confidently say my design practise is strongly led by empathy, innovation and collaboration.
I thereby welcome any opportunity in UX, UI or product design that will support me in practising these core values.
